Jesse, I just want you to know what a huge impact "Get Together" had on me, as a young girl in the late 60's. It was such a time of turmoil-Vietnam, social & racial inequality, fear, hatred & mistrust-very frightening. Your version of this song gave me hope, that we could change the world-starting with ourselves. Now older, and more cynical than I ever wanted to be, I look at our world and see history repeating itself. It makes me very sad. I struggle to understand why we haven't learned a thing. My hope is that young & old alike will hear "Get Together" again, and become inspired to do the right thing- to reach out and bridge the gap that divides us. Thank you, from a grateful fan.

Jesse,I am a 65 year old musician in St Louis. I
Have followed you since I grew up with the Hour Glass, later the Allman Brothers, Albert King and Johnny Winter here. Always loved Beatles, Stones, Big Brother,J J Cale, Elmore James, Robert Johnson and on & on. Opened for Grateful Dead @ Washington University, my biggest Gig. But now I am still trying to mix everything. & Get Together is a must play, we all need to hear that song. And I Love to play it. Thankyou for that real piece of art, you are an icon sir. From a fellow bassist and guitar singer, songwriter!!
